A Sunny Saturday in the Park!

Last Saturday we had a beautiful summer day here in Houston. We tried to enjoy the weather as much as we could! Of course we had to start the day with a nap. I have been going through Kaleb's clothes and pulling out everything he's outgrown. I had it stacked on a diaper box next to his crib without thinking about it. After I laid him down you can see how it went...
After his nap, we made our way to Discovery Green Park in Downtown Houston. We've heard all about it and have wanted to check it out for awhile. Here's Kaleb playing with the leaves in the fountain.
He loved the playground, but especially the big xylophone! He would not share the mallet with anyone and ended up with a big red bump on his forehead when someone tried to take it from him and he fought back and lost.
Even though it's early March, the weather was warm enough to enjoy the water sprinklers. We didn't come prepared with his swimsuit, but he dove in anyway! Look how excited he looks!
Then the water hits him! Look at that face!
But it didn't take him long to recover and figure everything out. He had a blast and didn't want to leave.
We went home, took an early bath and pulled out his short sleeve pj's to wear in the warm weather. I couldn't help but take a picture of that belly hanging out! The pj's are a little too small or that belly's a little too big! Either way it's cute!
And I love this face!
