Happy Second Birthday Kaleb!

On Saturday, December 12th, we celebrated Kaleb's second birthday with a party at home with some family and friends. We had talked and talked to Kaleb about his birthday and the party so he couldn't wait for it to start! He made us sing "To you!" to him all week long while he pretended to blow out the candles. He could name all the kids that were coming to the party. And he told everyone all week, "I two!" Here are some of the highlights of the party...

This was his cupcake train!
A present from Mom and Dad...
...a panoramic shot of the party room... (a little blurry, but you get the picture...a photo timeline train, some snacks and decorations on the back table, and his cupcake train on the bar)
Kaleb had a blast playing in the backyard with some old toys...
and some new!
This was Kaleb's cupcake!
And he blew out those candles like a pro!
He's not a big fan of cake, but he did like eating the M&M's off of the top! (He called them "eggs" all day long! I don't know why! We don't give the boy much candy I guess!)
Although he didn't eat much cake, he did enjoy a big bowl of ice cream! And then it was time to open presents...
Kaleb had a blast and has talked about his party ever since! Thanks to everyone for celebrating with us!

Snow Day!

Today was a beautiful snowy day in Houston! Kaleb and I went to school this morning, but due to the inclement weather expected we got to go home early. It started snowing on us in Baytown about 8:30 am! All the kids at school were sooooo excited. It only took an hour or two before it started sticking to the ground. I picked Kaleb up from school around 11:30 and he kept telling me about the "snowman" falling outside. The weather was rainy most of the way home into Houston, but right as we got into our neighborhood the snow started pouring down and sticking to the ground. We took naps, then went to play outside. This was Kaleb's first time to play in the snow! At first he was not too sure about it...
It took a lot of convincing, but he finally figured it out! (We had to tell him it was ice...he loves to play with ice!)
Footprints in the snow...
Daddy and Kaleb...
Once Daddy showed him how, Kaleb loved to throw snowballs into the street!
It's been a lot of fun since we don't get to see this kind of weather much. I can still look out the back window and see a white yard! It is supposed to stay frozen all night! Stay warm!

It's a girl!!!!

On Thursday, November 12th, we went for our anatomy ultrasound to see how things are coming along with our little one. Everything looked great and they were able to tell us it's going to be a little girl! We are so excited! Here is her profile...
and here's a picture of her little foot and five toes!

It was so amazing to see this little person that is growing inside of me! We can't wait to meet her in April!

Happy Halloween!

OK...yes, it is almost Thanksgiving and yes, I am just now posting halloween pictures! Better late than never! Our little man was an Aggie football player for halloween this year!
We had a great time at the church festival. Kaleb's cousins Aurora and Joel joined us for the fun. Here's Kaleb and Aurora running under the parachute...
More parachute fun with Joel...
Jumping on the bouncer...
Enjoying some halloween candy!
Enjoying more halloween when we got home! Way too late!
Our little Aggie passed out on the couch next to Mama. This is not like him at all! He had a blast and enjoyed a little too much candy.

E-I-E-I-O!

Old MacDonald had a farm...E-I-E-I-O!
And on that farm he had some sheep...
Yesterday, we took Kaleb to visit Old MacDonald's Farm in Humble. There were lots of animals to see, pet, and feed as well as many other things to do.
Kaleb got to ride a pony...
feed some deer...
and play in the hay barn with Daddy!
We all had fun crawling through the tunnels...
and taking a ride on the train all around the park!
Before we left, we took a visit to the pumpkin patch so Kaleb could pick his very own pumpkin!
Mommy and Kaleb with our pumpkins...
We tried to get him to take a bigger one, but he only wanted the little bitty one he found all by himself! So that's what he got!

We had a great visit and I'm sure we'll go back another time!

DANCING!

Aggie Football...again!

We've spent a lot of time at Aggie football games this season... so here are some pictures of us in Aggieland again on October 10th. Here's Kaleb getting ready for the game!
All smiles...ready to go see the Aggies! He loves to watch the Corps march in. Sat on the curb through the whole thing...
The boys (Kevin and Buck) introducing Kaleb to Bottlecap Alley...
Playing near Kyle Field...
My husband and I... (We don't get many pictures together anymore!)
Kaleb took a picture of himself! One of my favorites!
Our tired little Aggie about 3 minutes after we got in the car!
And he was still wearing his "stickers"!

State Fair of Texas

On Saturday, October 3rd, Kaleb and I both experienced the state fair for the first time. We only stayed a couple of hours, but had a great time. Kaleb's first ride was the carousel...
Family picture in front of the ferris wheel...
Kaleb and daddy took a ride in the teacups...
Here are Kaleb and James getting ready to go farming...
Kaleb riding the tractor in the farm...
Feeding the goats in the petting zoo...
And it wouldn't be a true state fair experience without cotton candy! He wasn't sure what to do with it...
After the fair, Mimi and PaPa kept Kaleb while Kevin and I went to the Aggie game at the new Cowboys Stadium.
The view from our seats!
Scoreboard while we were ahead... (we'll just leave it at that!)
It was a great day, but too short of a weekend!
